| Frequently Asked Questions
Various customers over the years have asked
us many questions relating to the use of our service. We have compiled
a list of frequently asked questions and answers to give you a better idea of what it
is we do. If you don't find the answers to your questions here, please call
us at 918/712-9193, or contact us via e-mail.
Can I have the same driver you sent
me last time
I ordered?
If it is possible to send the same driver
every time, we do it. But it's possible that the driver you are requesting
has been assigned to someone else. Our dispatcher will let you know the
status of the driver when you make your request. Remember, the more advance
notice you give us, the better chance we'll have of filling your request.
Whose liability insurance covers accidents?
You are responsible for liability insurance
covering the vehicle and cargo. Our driver is considered as "additional
insured" under your policy. This is outlined on the Service Agreement.
If there is an accident, who does the
driver contact?
If you own or lease the vehicle involved
in the accident, then you are responsible for reporting the accident to
the authorities. Our driver is under your control and supervision while
operating your equipment. We request that you please notify us in the event
there is an accident. If we can do anything to help, we will be on the
scene as soon as possible.
If I have a problem on the week-end
or after hours, who do I call?
We have someone on-call 24 hours a day.
Just call our main number at 918/712-9193, and the recording will give
you instructions on how to contact our operations people.
Can I hire your drivers if I really
like them?
Our drivers work full time for us. We
have invested a lot of time and money in them and they are our greatest
assets. We do, however, have a program that can help you. Just let us know
if you are interested.
How do I know that your driver has the
proper license for my job?
All of our drivers are classified by their
license before they are assigned to a job. We guarantee it.
Who does the drug testing?
Every one of our drivers is in a
certified drug awareness program. We can provide you with the necessary
documentation if you request it.
When do I get invoiced for your services?
We will send you an invoice at the end
of the week based on the hours worked or miles traveled, as verified by
your signature on the time ticket. Wages and withholding tax will be calculated
using this form.
Can I keep a driver if I asked for one
day, but then decide I need him four days?
You will need to call us at 918/712-9193
as soon as possible to try and make arrangements to keep our driver for
longer than you have contracted to use that particular driver. The driver
you are requesting may have already been assigned to another customer.
However, we will make every effort to satisfy your needs. If we are unable
to arrange for the driver to work with you for the additional time requested,
we can supply another excellent driver to meet your needs.
What if I reserve a driver but then
decide I don't need to use the driver?
If you contact us at least two hours prior
to the time arranged for the driver to be on your site, you will not be
charged for the service. However, if you contact us less than two hours
prior to the arranged time and we are unable to stop our driver from reporting
to work for you, you will be charged a minimum of four hours.
Can I issue keys, credit cards, or other
equipment to your driver?
Yes, but we recommend you get a signed
receipt to keep track of these items.
What happens if your driver loses the
items I gave him?
Usually we would not expect the driver
to replace any items that are lost, unless the loss occurs because of misconduct
on the driver's part. However, we will determine what the appropriate response
is to your loss on a case by case basis. In all instances, we will work
with you to recover the lost items.
Who pays for expense money and fuel?
If a driver needs cash while working for
you, we recommend that you let us address that issue. Just let us know
what the driver needs, and we will take care of it. There is no additional
charge for this service. If you choose to give the driver money, we take
no responsibility for any money issued then lost.
Can I fire your driver on the spot if
the driver does something wrong? The drivers are employed by us and we
are responsible for discipline, including discharge of the driver. You
certainly have the right to report any infraction to us when it happens.
If you are dissatisfied with our driver or the driver's abilities, please
call us immediately. We will make every effort to replace the driver and
assign someone new to you in the future.
Is the driver DOT legal to send across
state lines?
Yes. We will send you the correct DOT
form for your files.
Who qualifies and certifies the driver?
TruckStaff qualifies and certifies the
drivers for you and maintains the file at our location. These files are
available for inspection by our customers during business hours.
Can I specify the driver's minimum experience
and training?
Yes. We will dispatch a driver that meets
your specific requirements.
